I’ve now returned home to Tokyo, Japan and to fête the occasion I was indulged with a wonderfully luxurious evening spent at Bvlgari Ginza Tower. The evening included exceptional live Italian jazz music by Francesco Lomagistro & Berardi Jazz Connection Quintet enjoyed in great company and with flowing Dom Pérignon vintage champagne alongside a selection of small bite creations by Michelin starred executive chef Luca Fantin.
So, while some opted to spend their day on grass, surrounded by trees, I choose to spend my day in Mayfair and Soho, gallery hopping, luxury shopping and then ending up at a mini music festival on Berwick Street Soho where the celebration of Record Store Day was in full swing hosting live music performances on a stage in the street. All in all, it was a fabulous day!
Heavy wool suits are now being traded in for lighter cotton and silk ones such as these gorgeous suits by the luxury Italian menswear brand Canali. It’s so refreshing to see something other than the regular bland black suits parading the streets. And yes, I do realize that the suits are in fact grey but something like fuchsia would simply burn my eyes as I much prefer classic, cool colors especially on a hot summery day. Then, it also doesn’t hurt to imagine the perfect tall, dark handsome man of your dreams to fill the suit. Ahhh… one can dream right!
Grab your sunglasses and prepare to be blown away by the blinding sparkles of some of the world’s finest precious gems, stones and diamonds, all in the form of beautifully, well-crafted Italian luxury jewelry from none other than Bvlgari in their exhibition Italian Magnificence. Even their sleek 銀座 (Ginza) tower has been installed with a fierce snake that lights up at night.
Shopping in the notorious luxury district Ginza, Tokyo can put quite the squeeze on your funds, especially when the object of one’s desire lays on a divine Bvlgari necklace with a price tag of 86,730,000 Japanese Yen. Yikes! Perhaps the only shopping I’ll be doing is window shopping but one can dream, right?
To coordinate with the necklace, these matching earrings are perfection. Price tag: 9,345,000 Japanese Yen, quite the bargain in comparison. It must be a dream to deal with precious darlings such as these on a daily basis.
I die! Their Mediterranean Eden jewelry collection is absolutely delicious, it is a colorful garden of precious symbols and materials. My birthday and Christmas wishlists are officially done, hurrah! Let s hope Santa’s feeling generous…
