Bvlgari Il Cafe

When out and about it’s sometimes nice just to sit down and relax (and kick off those heels under the table). Bvlgari Il Café makes a great pit stop as it is situated halfway along Omotesando 表参道, one of Tokyo’s many well-known shopping streets.

Ahhhhh…

I went with the obento box menu and a chocolate drink.

Appetizers were for instance Parma ham with melon, and Buffalo mozzarella and vegetable caponata.

Little did I know when ordering the pasta box: Tagliatelle with Amatriciana bianco sauce and artichokes. After som research, I now know that Amatriciana originates from the Lazio region and is usually based on guanciale (dried pork cheek) and the less dramatic pecorino cheese and tomato. If guanciale was an ingredient in this case, I have no idea, but as a side note I can tell you that it would definitely not be anything “picky eaters pick, pick” would enjoy. Let’s hope it was purely vegetarian after all, shall we?

Dessert with a lovely personalized message from the darling staff. I’ll be enjoying London soon, thank you!

Bvlgari chocolates.

If you’d happen to be in the neighborhood, don’t miss out and enjoy the people watching.

Darlings, hope you’ll all have a wonderful weekend!
